Its air-spaced quadruplet objective,
featuring an ED glass element, offers excellent chromatic aberration correction and a corrected field compatible with the
full-frame sensors.

Thanks to its optical design featuring integrated flat field, the 71F does not require any additional field corrector.
It is also not necessary to maintain a specific backfocus distance: simply connect the equipment
take a photo, and then focus.

Highlights

71 mm aperture

Focal length of 490 mm

Focal ratio of f/6.9

APO Quadruplet Lens with Air Spacing

An ED glass optical element

44 mm corrected field of view, full-frame compatible

Integrated field corrector

No precise calculation of the backfocus is required

Suitable for astrophotography and visual observation

2.4-inch rack-and-pinion eyepiece holder

1:10 micrometric reduction

360° Graduated Field Rotator

Retractable mist guard

Multiple slots for researchers and accessories

230 mm Vixen Dovetail

1/4″ and 3/8″ threads for direct attachment to a camera tripod

A compact, high-performance lens

The Askar 71F has an aperture of 71 mm, a focal length of 490 mm and a native focal ratio
from f/6.9. Its air-spaced APO quadruplet optical design includes an ED element that helps reduce
effectively corrects chromatic aberrations.

Its image circle, corrected for 44 mm allows it to be used with astronomical cameras and regular cameras
equipped with full-frame sensors, while maintaining well-defined stars all the way to the corners of the image.

Integrated field corrector

The 71F is a native flat-field eyepiece. Therefore, it does not require the purchase of a field corrector or a field flattener.
additional. Unlike many astronomical telescopes, it also does not require you to maintain a certain distance
a fixed backfocus distance between the lens and the sensor.

After setting up your camera, filter wheel, or camera, all you need to do is focus to
begin data acquisition. This design greatly simplifies the setup of the imaging system.

Versatile photographic connection

The Askar 71F comes with a set of photographic adapter rings and tubes that include, among other things, connections
M54 × 0.75 and M48 × 0.75. The M48 adapter also features a thread that allows
the installation of a 2-inch filter.

The eyepiece can therefore be easily used with an SLR or mirrorless camera, a cooled astronomical camera,
a filter wheel, a filter drawer, or other photography accessories.

Mechanical Engineering

The optical tube is fully CNC-machined and features a compact, rugged design. The retractable anti-fog shield
reduces the transport distance, while its interior, coated with a matte finish, minimizes unwanted reflections.

The rack-and-pinion eyepiece holder from 2.4 inches features a multi-stage focusing system 1:10.
A 360° graduated field rotator allows for precise adjustment of the camera's orientation.

The top handle has a slot for a search tool. There are two additional slots on each side.
from the eyepiece holder to mount a finder scope, a guiding system, a mini-computer, or other accessories.

Mounting on a bracket or tripod

The telescope is equipped with a Vixen dovetail mount 230 mm. It also has threads
1/4″ and 3/8″, allowing for direct attachment to many camera tripods or heads
compatible panoramic images.

When using the camera on a tripod, make sure that the head and tripod can comfortably support the
Total weight of the scope and its accessories.

Technical specifications

Opening

71 mm

Focal length

490 mm

Focus report

f/6.9

Optical package

APO Quadruplet with Air Spacing

ED glass

1 item

Image circle

44 mm, full-format compatible

Field corrector

Integrated

Eyepiece Holder Travel

50 mm

Lens holder

2.4-inch rack, 1:10 two-speed

Rotator

360° Graduated Field Rotator

Optical tube weight

2.5 kg

Weight with collars and dovetail

3 kg

Dovetail

Vixen, length 230 mm

Threads for tripods

1/4″ and 3/8″

Total length

Configuration

Length

With 1.25″ adapter, dew shield retracted

372.5 mm

With 1.25-inch adapter, anti-fog screen deployed

430.9 mm

With camera adapter, anti-fog screen retracted

415 mm

With camera adapter, anti-fog screen deployed

473.4 mm

Rear Connections

M64 × 0.75 to M54 × 0.75

M54 × 0.75 to M54 × 0.75

M54 × 0.75 to M48 × 0.75

2-inch internal filter thread on the M48 adapter

Available length for accessories

Configuration

Eyepiece holder retracted

Eyepiece holder extended

From the M48 × 0.75 male thread

82.5 mm

32.5 mm

From the M54 × 0.75 male thread

100.5 mm

50.5 mm

From the 1.25-inch eyepiece holder

111 mm

61 mm

From the 2-inch eyepiece holder

121 mm

71 mm

Scope of delivery

Askar 71F optical tube

A pair of mounting clamps

Top handle

230 mm Vixen Dovetail

Photographic Adapter Set

1.25-inch Visual Adapter

Note: cameras, video cameras, filters, elbow mirrors, eyepieces, focusing systems
Electronics and other accessories shown in some illustrations are not necessarily included.

Askar 71F – Lunette apochromatique à champ plat de 71 mm La Askar 71F est une lunette apochromatique compacte et polyvalente, conçue aussi bien pour l’astrophotographie grand champ que pour l’observation visuelle.
