Product description

WandererRotator Lite V2 - Motorized precision rotator for astrophotography

WandererRotator Lite V2 Align or restore your framing across multiple sessions with extreme precision, eliminate unwanted field rotations, and enjoy the convenience of automation: the WandererRotator V2 are ultra-precise, thin-profile motorized rotators designed to support a rigid imaging train and guarantee optimum orthogonality.
They are placed between your camera and the corrector/reducer/flattener, and are controlled from your favorite acquisition software.

  • Precision & rigidity : fine, even rotation for precise framing, anti-tilt construction.
  • Low profile: minimizes the impact on backfocus and is easily integrated into most optical trains.
  • Simple control : 12 V power supply, USB control, software compatibility (ASCOM/INDI depending on your configuration).
  • Astro nomad or fixed station : reliable at low temperatures, ideal for light setup at the observatory.

The Lite V2 M68 Model

This product sheet is for the WandererRotator Lite V2 with an M68 interface. The manufacturer lists a thickness of 12 mm and a weight of 550 g. Check the interfaces and available focal length before assembling your optical train.

The manufacturer states that the device operates at temperatures as low as −25 °C and supports derotation sequences in NINA. This feature depends on the mount, the software, and their configuration. It allows you to adjust the framing during acquisition when the mount and tracking system require it.

Why choose a WandererRotator V2 rotator?

  • Perfect framing without touching the eyepiece holder: reproducible, automatic rotation with no perceptible play.
  • Healthy optical chain anti-tilt design and rigidity to preserve collimation and orthogonality.
  • Easy integration Low profile, wide choice of threaded adapters (depending on version and configuration).
  • Automation ideal for mosaics, multiple framing shots and imaging scripts.

Content & compatibility

The adapters you need depend on your setup (camera, corrector, available back focus, etc.). Please feel free to contact us to confirm the optical path and the required threads.

DSA Board

To avoid mechanical stress, be sure to clamp evenly, check orthogonality after assembly and define safety positions in your acquisition software (park/zero) before automating your sequences.
