Thanks to a patented design using an ultra-thin printed circuit board, it replaces the traditional cable bundles that cause stray light and diffraction artifacts.
This version Spike Free was specially developed for astrophotographers looking for clean, faint stars that closely resemble the image quality produced by an apochromatic telescope.
With RASA and HyperStar systems, cables generally have to be routed in front of the Schmidt plate to power the camera, filter wheel, or other accessories. These cables often cause irregular streaks, a loss of contrast, and unwanted reflections.
The Ultimate Cable Master uses a specially designed printed circuit board to transmit data and power directly through the structure. This approach completely eliminates visible cables from the light path and significantly improves the visual appeal of the images.

According to Frank, the founder of WandererAstro, even though some very slight artifacts may remain on the brightest stars due to the inherent limitations of Schmidt systems, the results obtained are significantly cleaner than those observed with traditional cable management solutions.
The version Spike Free is recommended for astrophotographers who prefer a natural rendering of the stars and want to minimize diffraction effects as much as possible.
The version Cross Spike, on the other hand, intentionally produces fine, symmetrical star spikes reminiscent of those seen in high-end Newtonian telescopes. It may offer slightly lower obstruction but intentionally produces visible star spikes on bright stars.
