Part Number EPN-24.0
The Tele Vue Panoptic 24 mm is a 24-mm astronomical eyepiece offering an apparent field of 68°. It mounts on a 1.25-inch barrel and has an eye relief of 15 mm. This configuration is worth considering for star fields and extended deep-sky objects, depending on your telescope’s focal length.
The Panoptic series combines an apparent field of view of 68° with focal lengths designed for wide-angle views. It allows you to locate an object within its stellar environment, while maintaining an apparent field of view that is narrower than that of a Nagler or an Ethos.

What is the magnification with this eyepiece?
With a telescope that has a focal length of 1,000 mm, this eyepiece provides approximately 42× magnification. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.
Is it compatible with my telescope?
It uses a 1.25-inch mount. In a 2-inch eyepiece holder, a suitable adapter is required. The ability to focus also depends on the optical path of the accessories.
Can you observe things with glasses?
The stated eye relief is 15 mm. Comfort when wearing glasses also depends on their shape and the position of the eye; trying them on is always better than relying on a universal guarantee. DIOPTRX compatibility is subject to certain conditions: check the manufacturer’s documentation for the required adapter.
Is the apparent field the field visible in the sky?
No. The apparent field of view of 68° describes the view through the eyepiece. The actual field of view depends on the telescope; the 27-mm field stop is the value to use to calculate it.
