ToupTek F42 / EF42: Nikon F or Canon EF adapter for ATR3

The ToupTek F42 and EF42 adapters allow you to attach a camera lens to a cooled camera from the ATR3 series.

The F42 version is compatible with the Nikon F mount and has an extension length of 29 mm. The EF42 version is compatible with the Canon EF mount and has an extension length of 26.5 mm. These adapters serve solely as connectors; they do not include a built-in filter.

Setup and Use

These two options are designed for different lens mounts. The F42 version is designed for Nikon F, while the EF42 version is designed for Canon EF. Your choice therefore depends on the mount of the lens you wish to use. It’s not enough for a lens to simply bear the Nikon or Canon name—be sure to check its exact mount before selecting the appropriate adapter.

On the camera side, this product description applies to the ATR3 series. It should not be confused with an adapter designed for another family of ToupTek cameras. The connector is used to join two specific components of the setup: the camera lens and the compatible camera. A lens, camera, or other accessory shown in a sample setup is not automatically included with the adapter sold here.

The specified extension lengths are 29 mm for the Nikon F version and 26.5 mm for the Canon EF version. These dimensions correspond to the variants described; they are not instructions to add the same additional ring to all setups. When assembling the setup, check the interfaces and the position of any other components placed between the lens and the sensor.

This product sheet describes a mechanical mount. It does not specify electronic aperture control, autofocus, or lens data transmission unless these functions are explicitly stated in the manufacturer’s documentation. If your application requires any of these functions, please confirm this before selecting a mount. Next, select the variant that matches your lens and camera series, keeping in mind that Nikon F and Canon EF versions are not interchangeable. This distinction prevents you from ordering an adapter whose model name appears correct but whose mount does not match the lens you are using.
