Three versions are available for the GPM, G3M, and G3CMOS families. Select the kit that matches your camera; the camera is not included with this accessory.
This kit is offered as an accessory for a compatible camera that has already been purchased or ordered separately. It does not include a camera. Its purpose is to combine a lens and an infrared-cut filter for a wide-field setup designed for observing the Milky Way. The inclusion of the lens allows this setup to be used without a telescope; however, you will still need to connect and control the camera you are using.
The LP825 filter selects the infrared spectrum corresponding to its designation. It is not an IR-cut filter; on the contrary, an IR-cut filter is designed to block infrared light. This difference is critical when selecting a camera and its protective window. An accessory designed for infrared imaging must be integrated into an optical system suited to this application, rather than chosen based solely on the apparent diameter of the lens.
The three options correspond to the GPM, G3M, and G3CMOS families. Select the one that matches the camera you are using. The connection components shown differ by product family; therefore, the versions should not be considered mechanically interchangeable. The GPM option does not automatically replace the G3M option, and the G3CMOS version must be selected for the specific application it is intended for.
