Visit Player One Apollo-C is a camera specially designed for solar imaging, equipped with the Sony IMX174. It combines high speed, excellent dynamics and reliability, making it an ideal solution for capturing the fine details of the Sun with ease.
Equipped with a 1/1.2″ with 5.86 µm, The Apollo-C offers excellent load capacity (32 ke-) and a resolution of 1944 × 1216 (2.3 MP). This sensor is particularly appreciated in solar imaging for its sensitivity and ability to freeze atmospheric turbulence.
Thanks to its global shutter, The camera captures every image without distortion, which is essential for high-speed solar and planetary photography.
In USB 3.0 mode, the Apollo-C can reach up to 164 frames per second in full resolution, for lucky imaging and maximum detail extraction. The memory Integrated DDR3 (256 MB) ensures smooth transmission without image loss.
Its robust aluminum design and meticulous finish ensure excellent heat dissipation and durability, even during prolonged use in daylight.
Please note: this camera must be used with a suitable filtration system (solar film, Herschel prism, etc.). Never point the camera at the sun without appropriate protection.
