The Sky-Watcher EXPLORER 130P AZ-Go2 WiFi is a Newton telescope 130 mm compact and powerful, designed to be
wirelessly controlled from a smartphone or a tablet thanks to the free
SynScan (iOS / Android). The frame AZ-Go2 integrates a Wi-Fi module which generates its
own network, This means you can use the system completely independently, without having to rely on an external Wi-Fi network.
or mobile connection.
After entering your details in the application and completing a quick and easy alignment procedure,
you're ready to explore the sky via a clear, intuitive touchscreen interface. The AZ-Go2 + SynScan
offers a fully computerized Go-To control the telescope automatically moves to one of the
10,000+ celestial objects from the extensive SynScan database.
With its 130 mm parabolic primary mirror and its focal length of 650 mm (f/5), the EXPLORER-130P
is an excellent versatile instrument. It offers excellent brightness and resolution.
for observing the Moonand bright planetsand star clusterand
nebulae and many galaxies. Its high-performance optics make it the ideal choice for
start in earnest, while retaining plenty of room for improvement.
The primary and secondary mirrors are treated with Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz (RAQ™),
ensuring up to 94 % reflectivity with excellent durability and stable performance over time.
To immortalize your observations, a universal smartphone photo adapter is included,
for easy capture of the Moon, bright planets and other deep-sky objects.
The Moon in detail, the planets (Jupiter’s bands and moons, Saturn’s rings), and, under a dark sky, the brightest star clusters and nebulae, such as the Orion Nebula. Its maximum useful magnification is approximately 260× (2 × the diameter in mm); in practice, atmospheric turbulence often makes it necessary to stay below this limit.
Two eyepieces are included: 20 mm and 10 mm. With a focal length of 650 mm, they provide 32× and 65× magnification. To determine the magnification of an eyepiece, divide the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.
Yes, it's a lightweight instrument: the tube weighs about 3 kg and the mount about 4 kg.
Yes, just like any Newtonian telescope. A quick check every now and then is enough, especially after transporting it. With a collimation laser, it’s quick and easy. At f/5, it’s more demanding: a precise adjustment is clearly visible at high magnifications. The Sky-Watcher Collimation Guide (EN) explains the procedure.
The motorized mount tracks objects: it’s ideal for filming the Moon and the planets with a smartphone or a small planetary camera, and the entire Moon fits within the field of view at low magnification. Long exposures of the deep sky remain limited, because an azimuth mount rotates the field of view.

No. The Sky-Watcher AZ-Go2 mount does not come with a power supply. Required power supply: 12 V DC, 1 A, center-positive (or 8 AA batteries). For home use, we recommend the'Pegasus Astro 12 V power supply with a 2.1 mm plug, compact and adequate for this mount.
