Reference EDE-04.0
The Tele Vue DeLite 4 mm is a 4-mm astronomical eyepiece offering an apparent field of 62°. It mounts on a 1.25-inch focuser and has an eye relief of 20 mm. This configuration is worth considering for lunar details, planets, and double stars, when the telescope’s diameter and atmospheric turbulence permit.
The DeLite series was developed as a more compact alternative to the Delos series. With an apparent field of view of 62° and an eye relief of 20 mm, it prioritizes a comfortable viewing position over achieving the widest possible apparent field of view.

What is the magnification with this eyepiece?
With a telescope that has a focal length of 1,000 mm, this eyepiece provides approximately 250× magnification. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.
Is it compatible with my telescope?
It uses a 1.25-inch mount. In a 2-inch eyepiece holder, a suitable adapter is required. The ability to focus also depends on the optical path of the accessories.
Can you observe things with glasses?
The specified eye relief is 20 mm. Comfort when wearing glasses also depends on their shape and the position of the eye; trying them on is always better than relying on a universal guarantee. The Tele Vue chart indicates DIOPTRX compatibility; this astigmatism corrector is optional.
Is the apparent field the field visible in the sky?
No. The apparent field of view of 62° describes the view through the eyepiece. The actual field of view depends on the telescope; the 4.3-mm field stop is the value to use to calculate it.
