Reference EDL-04.5
The Delos 4.5 mm Eyepiece is a 4.5-mm astronomical eyepiece offering an apparent field of 72°. It mounts on a 1.25-inch focuser and has an eye relief of 20 mm. This configuration is worth considering for lunar details, planets, and double stars, when the telescope’s diameter and atmospheric turbulence permit.
The Delos series combines a 72° field of view with an adjustable eyecup. The height adjustment helps you find the correct eye position and minimizes stray light around the lens. Be sure to check the specific specifications for this focal length rather than assuming they are the same as those for another Delos model.

What is the magnification with this eyepiece?
With a telescope that has a focal length of 1,000 mm, this eyepiece provides approximately 222× magnification. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.
Is it compatible with my telescope?
It uses a 1.25-inch mount. In a 2-inch eyepiece holder, a suitable adapter is required. The ability to focus also depends on the optical path of the accessories.
Can you observe things with glasses?
The specified eye relief is 20 mm. Comfort when wearing glasses also depends on their shape and the position of the eye; trying them on is always better than relying on a universal guarantee. The Tele Vue chart indicates DIOPTRX compatibility; this astigmatism corrector is optional.
Is the apparent field the field visible in the sky?
No. The apparent field of view of 72° describes the view through the eyepiece. The actual field of view depends on the telescope; the 5.6-mm field stop is the value to use to calculate it.
