Reference ETH-06.0
The Ethos 6 mm Tele Vue is a 6-mm astronomical eyepiece offering an apparent field of 100°. It has a 2-inch and 1.25-inch slip-on mount and a 15-mm eye relief. This configuration is worth considering for lunar and planetary details and double stars, when the instrument’s diameter and atmospheric turbulence permit.
The Ethos series is designed for observers who want a very wide field of view around the subject. The Ethos SX models offer an apparent field of view of 110°, compared to 100° for the other Ethos models. This apparent field of view should not be confused with the actual field of view visible through your telescope.

What is the magnification with this eyepiece?
With a telescope that has a focal length of 1,000 mm, this eyepiece provides approximately 167× magnification. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.
Is it compatible with my telescope?
The double slide allows for both of the specified formats. Check the clamping position, the focusing travel, and the clearances with your angle drive or focus adjuster.
Can you observe things with glasses?
The specified eye relief is 15 mm. Comfort when wearing glasses also depends on their shape and the position of the eye; trying them on is always better than relying on a universal guarantee. The Tele Vue chart indicates DIOPTRX compatibility; this astigmatism corrector is optional.
Is the apparent field the field visible in the sky?
No. The apparent field of view of 100° describes the view through the eyepiece. The actual field of view depends on the telescope; the 10.4-mm field stop is the value to use to calculate it.
Check the focus travel, the focus range, the weight your setup can support, and the compatibility of filters or correctors. The product offered is a Tele Vue Ethos 6 mm eyepiece; the accessories listed are optional.
