La Player One Uranus-C est destinée à l'imagerie planétaire, lunaire et solaire (Soleil uniquement avec un filtre adapté) par « lucky imaging » : on filme quelques minutes jusqu'à 47 images/s puis on empile les meilleures images. Avec des pixels de 2,9 µm, visez un rapport F/D d'environ f/9 à f/15 sur les planètes, avec une lentille de Barlow si nécessaire. Elle se prête aussi à l'observation assistée (EAA) : de courtes poses empilées en direct sur les objets brillants du ciel profond.
The Sony IMX585 (STARVIS 2 technology) combines very low readout noise (0.7 e⁻), high well capacity for 2.9 µm pixels (47 ke⁻), and high sensitivity in the near-infrared. With no amp glow and a fast frame rate (47 frames/s), it is a highly versatile sensor, suitable for everything from planetary to deep-sky imaging, offering excellent value for the price.

The camera's back focus is 12.5 mm. Mount: 1.25"; M42 × 0.75.
Yes: its window is only anti-glare. Add a ZWO 1.25" UV/IR-cut filter for sharp images and accurate colors. For planets low on the horizon, a ZWO ADC Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector significantly improves sharpness.
The color version is the simplest: a single exposure produces the color image. The monochrome version, the Player One Uranus-M, requires a filter wheel and a longer exposure time. In return, it is more sensitive and produces better results in narrowband imaging.
