New-generation ZWO 8 × 1.25-inch / 31-mm motorized filter wheel, controlled and powered via USB-C.
This generation replaces the previous USB-B connector with a USB-C connection. The filter change is motorized in both directions, with position indexing. The machined aluminum housing and stray light shields are designed for long acquisition sequences. Select the filter size based on the sensor, beam aperture, and the distance between the filter and the sensor. A 36 mm wheel accommodates unmounted filters; the 1.25-inch and 2-inch variants accept the sizes specified in their manuals. The wheel is a separate accessory from the filters. Check the height of the filter mounts and the total thickness of the optical train before screwing on the adapters. Wheels from different generations are not grouped under a single part number.
