Explore a new wavelength with your refractor

Sodium D2 completes a configuration H-alpha to study sunspots and other structures with varying contrast. This is one way to take your observation and imaging skills to the next level while continuing to use a compatible telescope. The quality of the results also depends on the aperture and atmospheric turbulence.

Designed for F/4 to F/8 refractors, this model requires protection suitable for sodium. The DayStar Official Compatibility Checker and Quark Sodium Instructions are used to prepare the assembly. Red ERFs do not transmit this line; DayStar yellow ERFs are among the solutions recommended by the manufacturer.

Moving from visuals to imagery

Visit DayStar Solar Accessories allow you to adapt the connection to the eyepiece or camera: 1.25-inch or 2-inch connectors, T- or C-mounts, and adapters, depending on the model. Thread compatibility, focus extension, and focus must be checked for each combination. Accessories are sold separately.
