Discover the 127mm Newton telescope with smartphone holder and StarSense Explorer technology - an ideal observatory for beginners without sacrificing performance. Thanks to its 127 mm diameter mirror and 1000 mm focal length, it offers a clear, bright view of the Moon, planets and deep sky objects such as galaxies and nebulae.
Thanks to the StarSense Explorer technologyYou can turn your smartphone into a real astronomical guide. Simply attach your phone to the support provided, launch the dedicated application, and let the on-board intelligence identify the stars and constellations in real time. Then select the celestial object you wish to observe, follow the on-screen arrows, and manually point the telescope in the right direction with astonishing ease.
The telescope comes with everything you need to get started straight away:
The 127 mm primary mirror collects enough light to reveal lunar craters, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's bands, and some of the brightest galaxies and nebulae. This is the the perfect telescope for those curious about the sky who want to learn about astronomy without getting lost in its complexity.
Give yourself easy access to the wonders of the night sky with the StarSense Explorer 127mm telescope - a combination of modern technology and classic optics, designed to make astronomy accessible to all.
The Moon in detail, the planets (Jupiter’s bands and moons, Saturn’s rings), and, under a dark sky, the brightest clusters and nebulae, such as the Orion Nebula. Its maximum useful magnification is approximately 254× (2 × the diameter in mm); in practice, atmospheric turbulence often makes it necessary to stay below this limit.
Two eyepieces are included: 25 mm and 10 mm. With a focal length of 1,000 mm, they provide 40× and 100× magnification. To determine the magnification of an eyepiece, divide the telescope's focal length by that of the eyepiece.
The tube weighs about 3.44 kg and is about 45.7 cm long, and the tripod weighs about 1.7 kg.
Yes, just like any Newtonian telescope. A quick check every now and then is enough, especially after transporting it. With a collimation laser, it’s quick and easy. At f/7.9, it’s fairly forgiving: a slight misalignment is hardly noticeable.
The included smartphone adapter lets you take souvenir photos of the Moon and the planets—but that's all. Deep-sky photography isn't possible: the mount doesn't track the sky's movement.
