Prism corrector designed to reduce atmospheric dispersion in images of the Moon and planets.
The atmosphere shifts colors differently when the celestial body is low on the horizon. Adjusting the prisms compensates for part of this shift; the adjustment must be tailored to the target’s altitude. The ADC does not correct for turbulence or incorrect focusing.
