The XMC adds focus control via the EXT port of a compatible Powerbox, without occupying a USB port. In particular, it allows you to add a second controller to an Ultimate Powerbox v2 or v3, or motor control to a Pocket Powerbox Advance or Micro. Microstepping is adjustable via software. The choice of motor cable depends on its pinout, not just the shape of the connector.
