This PrimaLuceLab sensor monitors wind speed to trigger the protective measures programmed into SPIDER MarkII, INTREPID, or OUTPOST.
On the SPIDER Mark II or INTREPID, exceeding the safety threshold causes the antenna to point toward the zenith in order to reduce wind load. On the OUTPOST, the system may trigger the automatic closure of the dome.
