This PrimaLuceLab kit combines the GIOTTO 560 flat panel with the ALTO-3L cover motor.
The motor allows the panel to be used as a remote-controlled cover, to switch from the telescope's open position to the calibration position. The full part number is important: this part number refers to both devices and does not correspond to the panel alone.
The product page for this kit explicitly confirms these two components, without providing a detailed list of cables or all the dimensions. The performance and limitations of each component must be verified in its respective documentation before finalizing the assembly. The cover’s function does not imply light-tightness, the ability to take dark frames, or universal compatibility with all tubes.

The GIOTTO panel provides diffused LED lighting with brightness adjustable across 100 levels, from 0 to 100 %. The flats are used to correct vignetting and dust shadows during image processing. GIOTTO and ALTO operate on 12 V and are controlled via USB-C from EAGLE or a Windows computer using PLAY or ASCOM-compatible software. Wi-Fi and the Virtual HandPad also allow control from a phone or tablet.
The motorized mechanism makes it easier to position the panel on flats, but it does not provide a light-tight seal for capturing darks. A separate library of darks is recommended. The mounting and clearance of the arm must be checked on the telescope; no clamps or additional adapters are listed as included unless specifically confirmed in the package contents.
The GIOTTO 560 has a 150-mm unlit central zone. It requires a reflector with a secondary mirror larger than 150 mm and is not suitable for refracting telescopes. The 560 version does not have the knurled screws found on the smaller panels; the ALTO-3L requires a custom mechanical adaptation, which is not included.
