This PrimaLuceLab heating element attaches around the tube to minimize condensation on the optics. The 180-mm version fits tubes with diameters ranging from 160 to 200 mm.
The band provides heat to the tube to prevent fogging, a common occurrence on eyepieces and Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Thanks to its elastic fit, this model can be used within the specified diameter range without having to accommodate every size in the lineup.
The manufacturer provides for power supply and adjustment directly from EAGLE. An alternative external 12 V power source with an RCA connection may also be used. The current rating specified for this size is specific to the part number and must be taken into account when selecting a power supply. The EAGLE computer or an external controller are not included with the strip.

Secure the strap around the tube using its Velcro fastener, then connect its RCA connector to a suitable 12-volt power source. With a compatible EAGLE unit and the ECCO2 module along with its probes, the heater’s power can be automatically regulated based on the dew point. These control devices are separate from the heater and are not included.
