Deep Space Astronomy SA was founded in 2024 by astronomy enthusiasts. Our aim is to make astronomy accessible to all by offering quality equipment and appropriate training.

Our mission: to democratize cosmic exploration. We carefully select each brand, develop customized solutions (observatories, automation), and organize training courses, workshops, star parties and cultural events. Thanks to a combination of cutting-edge technical expertise and human accompaniment, Deep Space Astronomy SA guides every enthusiast - from the curious neophyte to the seasoned astrophotographer - towards a sense of wonder.

Carlos Burkhalter

Founder and General Manager

An astronomy enthusiast for almost 20 years, he now devotes his time to long-focus astrophotography of small galaxies. He is also Chairman of the Foundation Committee of the FXB Observatory in St-Luc.

Jorge Burkhalter

Mechanical engineer and CAD specialist

An amateur astronomer and science fan, he's particularly good at making parts!

José Rodrigues

Doctoral student in Astrophysics

A passionate jack-of-all-trades (astrophotography, observation, drawing and telescope building), he has dedicated his life to the detection of exoplanets.
