Antlia Solar Discover Dualband Ha, CaK and CaH Filter Assembly

The Antlia Solar Discover Dualband filter (Ha, CaK, and CaH) is specially designed for solar imaging of the photosphere. It enhances contrast and sharpness, allowing for better visualization of surface details on the Sun, such as sunspots and faculae. This system incorporates an Energy Rejection Filter (ERF) that blocks UV and IR radiation while allowing only the Ha (656.3 nm), CaK (393.3 nm), and CaH (396.8 nm) wavelengths to pass through.

Important notes

• When used with a zenithal mirror, the ERF must be positioned correctly
• For telescopes with a diameter greater than 100 mm, the use of an additional light-reducing filter (ERF, solar film, aperture stop) is required.
• Without additional reduction, use reserved for ≤100mm refractors.

About Visual Observation

The Solar Discover Dualband Ha, CaK, and CaH is not recommended for visual observation. The IR coverage differs slightly from the ISO 12312-2 standard for solar viewing glasses. Before attempting any visual observation, it is essential to verify that all filters are intact and in perfect working order.
