Visit BRESSER Science ADL 601 F LED is the fluorescence of the ADL 601 platform, designed for
demanding users (laboratory, research, advanced teaching) who need access to details invisible against a light background.
Its key advantage: a LED fluorescence (safer, longer-lasting and easier to use than conventional UV lamps),
while maintaining a modern biological microscope architecture: infinity planachromatic optics,
lighting Köhler, trinocular head, and precision mechanics.

Why fluorescence changes everything

With bright-field microscopy, we mainly observe differences in absorption/contrast. At fluorescence,
certain markers (or naturally fluorescent materials) are excited and the emission observed: this makes it possible to
selectively highlight structures, cells, tissues, fibers, contaminants, etc., often with spectacular contrast.

  • LED fluorescence dedicated excitation without handling mercury lamps.
  • Can also be used as a light background a versatile instrument, not a “single-purpose” one.
  • Safety and comfort UV protection and integrated lighting management.

Fluorescence module: 4 wavelengths + filtration

The microscope incorporates a fluorescence unit comprising :

  • 4-way LED wheel : green, blue, violet, ultraviolet (rapid excitation selection).
  • Rotating filter disc with emission filter (separate excitation/emission to observe fluorescence).
  • UV protection screen for the user.

Note: depending on your fluorophores/markers, the choice of LED (UV/V/B/G) and filtration will have a major impact on your performance.

Infinity“ planachromatic optics: image quality and scalability

The ADL 601 F uses Infinity lenses with planachromatic correction, which improves field flatness
and makes it easy to add accessories (camera, adapters, modules) without unnecessarily degrading the image.

  • Objectives provided : PL 4x, PL 10x, FL 40x (glycerine), PL 100x (oil)
  • Magnification range : 40x to 1000x (with WF10x eyepieces)
  • 40x “FL” glycerine interesting when a compromise between optical performance and handling is required
    (often more tolerant than some oil-immersion configurations, depending on the protocols).

Transmitted lighting: Köhler + LED 3W dimmable

For brightfield work (and many preparations), transmitted light is a critical factor.
Here, we have a LED 3W with variable intensity and a lighting Köhler essential for optimizing
uniformity, contrast and resolution (especially in photo/video).

  • Köhler lighting (aperture settings and alignment adapted to “lab” use).
  • LED 3W stable, long-lasting, continuously dimmable.

Mechanics and ergonomics: coaxial table, fine adjustment, user settings

The microscope has all the attributes expected of an instrument of this level:

  • Coaxial mechanical stage (precise X/Y movement, vernier-type reading depending on configuration).
  • Coarse + fine coaxial focusing (indicated : 200 µm per revolution en fine for precise adjustment).
  • Interpupillary distance adjustment and dioptres for lasting comfort.

Trinocular head: photo and camera (C-mount / SLR via adapters)

Visit trinocular head allows connection of a C-mount microscope camera or a camera (SLR / hybrid)
via adapters. This is a key point if you're documenting observations, teaching, or need to archive results.

Practical advice

If your primary objective is fluorescence, you need to plan ahead from the outset. micrometer object for measurement calibration,
and check the LED / filter compatibility with your markers (or samples). In documentation, a C-mount camera adapted to the field and to low-signal sensitivity is often more important than the “number of megapixels”.
