Paramount MYT™ Series 6: The High-Performance Mount for Astrophotography

Visit Paramount MYT™ Series 6 represents the peak performance for German gear-driven equatorial mounts. It offers 40 % increase in instrument load capacityand absolute ring encoders on the axle (optional), as well as multiple connectivity options.

Paramount MYT is the ideal observatory mount for nomadic astrophotography!

Main Features

• Instrument load capacity : 32 kg; total capacity with counterweight: 64 kg.
• Lightweight one-piece frame: 16 kg (without counterweight or counterweight bar).
• 9 kg counterweight included (to balance a telescope weighing 11 to 14 kg).
• Pointing accuracy : 30 arc seconds or less across the entire sky.
• Internal cable management : All motor, power and electronics cables are integrated to prevent snagging.

Encoder performance

• Maximum periodic error : 7 arc seconds before correction.
• After learning the periodic error : Less than 1 arc second.
• Belt pulleys with spring-loaded worm : Hardly any games.
• Increased precision thanks to TPoint™ : The absence of clutches improves pointing accuracy.

AutoHome™ : Automatic Orientation

The function AutoHome™ ensures that the frame always knows its orientation after a quick initialization process (less than a minute).

Absolute Encoders on Axis (Optional)

• No initialization required for immediate operation.
• Total elimination of periodic error.
• No mechanical playguaranteeing optimal follow-up.
• Exceptional precision: Resolution of 0.02 arc second.
• Wide temperature range : Operates between -40°C and +80°C.

Electronic and mechanical features

• MKS 6000 advanced control system : Connectivity via USB-C, Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
• Three high-power XT60 ports on the instrument connection panel.
• Versa-Plate™ dovetail fastener included, compatible with most telescopes.
• 48V DC power supplywith USB and Ethernet cables included.
• Durable coating : Fade-resistant red and black anodized finish.

Software technology : TPoint™ and ProTrack™

Visit unrivalled precision is ensured by Paramount's TPoint™ and ProTrack™supplied with the frame:

• TPoint™ : Allows pointing accuracy less than 30 arc seconds RMS all over the sky.
• ProTrack™: Continuously corrects tracking errors, including :
  • Optical tube bending.
  • Atmospheric refraction.
  • Polar misalignment.
  • Harmonic gear errors.

Even without absolute encoders, unguided exposures of 5 to 10 minutes are common, some lasting up to 20 minutes.

Other features

• Includes: TheSky™ Universal (TheSky™ Professional, TPoint™, Cameras+, Domes, Multi-OS+, weather modules).
• Precise polar alignment : No need for visibility of the cluster.
• Compatible with Windows™, macOS™ and Linux (ARM64 and x86_64 processors).
• Uniform user interface : Smooth operation on multiple systems (up to 6 computers per OS).

Conclusion

Visit Paramount MYT™ Series 6 is a frame reference for astrophotographers and observatories. With its advanced technologieshis precise control and its optimized cable managementit represents an unavoidable choice for a high-end astronomy experience.
