Intelligent high-performance digital eyepiece + FREE «Telescoping the sky»

Introduction

Take advantage of the Smart EYE offer, which includes the eyepiece and a high-quality book entitled «The sky through the telescope - 110 essential observations»!

SmartEye revolutionizes amateur astronomy by combining the comfort of a traditional eyepiece with the power of a state-of-the-art imaging sensor. Thanks to its immersive display, your observations become spectacular plunges into the Universe, with colorful, detailed images that rival those of much larger instruments.

A video by Jean-Marc that I liked for its spontaneity. Very complete presentation:

Tips for optimum use of your eyepiece

  • Equatorial monitoring is recommended.

An Alt-Az mount will work, of course, but after a while you'll notice a field rotation, This results in the loss of part of the image.

  • USB power cable.

The cable supplied measures 1 metre. This length is sufficient in some cases, but can be limiting in other configurations. Remember to buy the right cable for your installation.

  • Micro-SD card essential.

Images are recorded directly onto a micro-SD card. Make sure you have it before use.

  • UV/IR-cut filter recommended for urban environments.

The sensor has no built-in UV/IR-cut filter. If you are observing from an urban or light-polluted area, the addition of this type of filter is highly recommended to improve image quality.

  • Autonomy depends on your battery. For a typical evening of observation, I recommend a 20,000 mAh battery.
