The Sky-Watcher Explorer-190MN DS-PRO is a real gem for demanding astrophotographers. Designed for deep-sky imaging enthusiasts, this optical tube features a exceptional field correction over the entire sensor surface. Stars remain punctual right to the edge, without aberrations or false colors. The optics incorporate a Schott glass front elementrenowned worldwide for its precision imaging performance. The primary mirror is made of Pyrex® with low thermal expansionThis guarantees rapid optical stability, even after large temperature swings.
The rolled steel tube is mechanically robust, incorporating five internal baffles with sharp edges to eliminate unwanted reflections and maximize contrast. All this is rounded off by a 2" Crayford eyepiece holder with 10:1 gear ratiosmooth, play-free operation, ideal for precise focusing, even with heavy sensors.

The Moon in great detail and the planets: Jupiter’s bands and moons, Saturn’s rings. With a diameter of 190 mm, it captures a great deal of light: under a very dark sky, bright galaxies and nebulae become visible. Its maximum useful magnification is approximately 380× (2 × the diameter in mm); in practice, atmospheric turbulence often limits observation to lower magnifications.
No eyepiece is included with this model. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope's focal length (1000 mm) by that of the eyepiece: for example, a 25 mm eyepiece provides 40× magnification.

Yes, from time to time: just like on a Newtonian, the primary mirror is adjusted using screws at the back of the tube, but the Maksutov blade holds the secondary mirror very securely in place. After transporting the telescope, a star test is all that’s needed: point the telescope at a bright star, defocus it slightly, and the rings should be perfectly concentric.
Yes: The motorized equatorial mount tracks the movement of the sky, allowing for exposures of the Moon, the planets, and bright deep-sky objects. Its ST-4 autoguiding port then enables longer exposures.

No. The Sky-Watcher HEQ5-R Pro mount does not come with a power supply. Required power supply: 9 to 12.6 V DC, 3 A. For home use, we recommend the'Pegasus Astro 12 V 10 A power supply with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug : regulated 12.5 V output, high current reserve, and it will later be able to power a Pegasus hub (Pocket Powerbox) for the camera and the anti-fog heaters. Its 12.5 V output remains below the maximum of 12.6 V accepted by the mount.
