Even without any experience, you can explore planets, the Moon, star clusters and
nebulae in just a few minutes.
Thanks to patented StarSense, the telescope automatically analyzes the stars
above you and determines its position in real time. The application
StarSense Explorer (Powered by SkySafari™) generates a list of currently visible objects
from your location. You can observe many objects from the city, and even more under dark skies.
The frame alt-azimuth manual with slow movements on two axes
allows you to easily follow the arrows displayed on your smartphone.
When the circle turns green, the object is centered: all you have to do is look through the eyepiece!
The heart of this telescope is a 5” Schmidt-Cassegrain” (125 mm), a design
Versatile, high-performance, for bright, high-contrast images.
With its 1250 mm (f/10), it excels on the Moon, planets, star clusters and even
some bright nebulae and galaxies.
The optics are treated with the StarBright XLT, which maximizes light transmission
for optimum image quality. The compact, lightweight tube is easy to transport.

Son grossissement utile maximal est d'environ 250× (2 × le diamètre en mm) ; en pratique, la turbulence de l'atmosphère impose souvent de rester en dessous.
Two eyepieces are included: 25 mm and 10 mm. With a focal length of 1,250 mm, they provide 50× and 125× magnification. To calculate the magnification of an eyepiece, divide the telescope’s focal length by that of the eyepiece.

Rarely. The optics are adjusted at the factory; from time to time, a star test is sufficient: point the telescope at a bright star, defocus it slightly, and the rings should be perfectly concentric. If necessary, adjustments can be made using the screws on the secondary mirror.
The included smartphone adapter lets you take souvenir photos of the Moon and the planets—but that's all. Deep-sky photography isn't possible: the mount doesn't track the sky's movement.
