The Moon in great detail and the planets: Jupiter’s bands and moons, Saturn’s rings. With a diameter of 203 mm, it captures a great deal of light: under a very dark sky, bright galaxies and nebulae become visible. Its maximum useful magnification is approximately 406× (2 × the diameter in mm); in practice, atmospheric turbulence often limits observation to lower magnifications.
No eyepiece is included with this model. The magnification is calculated by dividing the telescope's focal length (2032 mm) by that of the eyepiece: for example, a 25 mm eyepiece provides 81× magnification.
It is an imposing instrument: the tube weighs about 5.67 kg and is about 43.2 cm long, and the mount weighs about 20 kg (plus 8.7 kg for the tripod).
Rarely. The optics are adjusted at the factory; from time to time, a star test is sufficient: point the telescope at a bright star, defocus it slightly, and the rings should be perfectly concentric. If necessary, adjustments can be made using the screws on the secondary mirror.
Yes: The motorized equatorial mount tracks the movement of the sky, allowing for exposures of the Moon, the planets, and bright deep-sky objects. Its ST-4 autoguiding port then enables longer exposures.

No. The Celestron CGX mount does not come with a power supply (only a 12-V cable is included). Power requirements: 12 V DC, 4 A. For home use, we recommend the'Pegasus Astro 12 V 10 A power supply with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug : regulated 12.5 V output, high current reserve, and it will later be able to power a Pegasus hub (Pocket Powerbox) for the camera and the anti-fog heating elements.

Choose the 8-inch ring for this tube. A 12-volt power supply or compatible controller must be purchased separately.
Motorized rear eyepiece holder that complements the mirror adjustment. Be sure to use the SC PL3600209 adapter; check the connections, back focus, load, and clearance with your mount and any reducer you may be using.
Optional motor for focusing the primary mirror. Check the shaft diameter, adapters, clearance, and 12-volt power supply. A rear eyepiece holder, if present, serves a different purpose and is not required for this motor.
