Scientific operation: Internal standard and blocking filter
The LS130MT uses an internal Fabry-Perot etalon, an advanced optical system that exploits the wave-like properties of light to isolate the H-alpha line (656.28 nm). This etalon is placed inside the optical tube, reducing its size without compromising the amount of light transmitted. Precise adjustment of the bandwidth (<0.7 ร
) is ensured by the Pressure Tuner, which adjusts the pressure in a hermetically sealed chamber to compensate for variations due to temperature, altitude or the Doppler effect associated with the Sun's rotation.
