The 1.0x flattener is a premium accessory specifically designed to optimize the performance of the Askar 103APO telescope, maintaining a focal length of 700.4 mm and a focal ratio of f/6.8. It is ideal for astrophotography, correcting field curvature and coma, resulting in flatter field edges and finer stars, improving the overall quality of captured images.

  • Design : This flattener adopts a triplet design, offering a supported image field of 44 mm, ideal for full-frame sensors. This configuration contributes to improved image sharpness and uniformity.
  • Weight and dimensions :
    • Weight : 0.58 kg
    • Diameter : 88 mm
    • Total length : 71.7 mm
    • It is light enough not to unbalance the telescope, yet sturdy enough.
  • Back Focus:
    • Standardized 55 mm back focus distance, measured from the base of the M48 male thread. This precise back focus is essential for optimal optical settings, especially when using astrophotography cameras.
  • Compatibility and connections :
    • Front thread : M84×1
    • Rear thread : M54×0.75 and M48×0.75, with 2" filter thread (M48×0.75 integrated).
    • This flattener is equipped with two adapters (M54×0.75 and M48×0.75) for greater flexibility in connection with different cameras.
  • Protection :
    • Manufactured by CNC machining, it features threaded metal caps on both sides, protecting the threads and optical surfaces from dust and scratches when the flattener is not in use.
