The 1.0x flattener is a specially designed accessory for the Askar 120APO telescope. It maintains a focal ratio of f/7 with a focal length of 840 mm, ideal for astrophotographers who want sharp, detailed images. By correcting field curvature and coma, it ensures flatter field edges and finer stars, improving image quality across the entire field.

  • Design : This flattener uses a triplet design, offering an image field of 44 mm, ideal for full-format sensors, and enabling quality uniformity across the entire image surface.
  • Weight and dimensions :
    • Weight : 0.75 kg, a perfect balance between sturdiness and manoeuvrability.
    • Diameter : 88 mm, ensuring optimum compatibility with the telescope.
    • Length : 89 mm, with an 18 mm threaded section for secure fastening.
  • Back Focus:
    • 55 mm rear focusing distance, measured from the base of the M48 male thread. This distance is crucial for accurate mounting with astrophotography cameras and for ensuring optimum image quality.
  • Compatibility and connections :
    • Front thread : M84×1, for stable mounting with the telescope.
    • Rear thread : M54×0.75 and M48×0.75, with a 2" filter adapter (M48×0.75). This offers flexibility for connecting various accessories, including cameras and filters.
