Visit ToupTek GPM462M is a camera planetary/guidance monochrome 1.25″ format based on the sensor Sony IMX462 (1/2.8″), renowned for its very high EQ and extended near-infrared sensitivity. It combines 2.9 µm pixels, 12-bit output, internal buffer and USB 2.0 Type-C to offer a lightweight, reliable and versatile solution for both high-resolution (Moon/planets/Sun) and self-guidance via ST-4.
The ToupTek GPM462M is designed for autoguiding: mounted on a small guide scope or an optical splitter, it tracks a star and sends corrections to the mount during long exposures. With its 2.9 µm pixels, it samples at approximately 4.7″ per pixel on an Askar 32 mm guide scope (128 mm focal length) and 2.9″ on the Askar 52 mm (208 mm). The guide scope is suitable for short to medium focal lengths; for long focal lengths, the optical splitter is more accurate because it guides through the main instrument.
The Sony IMX462 (STARVIS) is highly sensitive in the near-infrared, making it effective when used with infrared filters for planetary imaging and for locating guide stars. It has a readout noise of 0.76 e⁻ and a frame rate of 17.8 frames per second, all at an affordable price.

The camera's back focus is 8.5 mm (17.5 mm with the C-mount adapter, 12.5 mm with the CS-mount adapter). Connection: 1.25"; C/CS mount (adapter).
It slides into the 1.25″ eyepiece holder of a guide scope, such as the'Askar 32 mm or the'Askar 52 mm, or can be mounted on an optical splitter. The ST4 port allows corrections to be sent directly to the mount; when using a computer or an ASIAIR, guiding is most often done via USB.
The monochrome version is more sensitive and produces better results in narrowband, but it requires a filter wheel. The color version, the ToupTek GPM462C, produces a color image in a single exposure.
