Perfect for home astrophotography!
The Sky-Watcher Explorer 130PDS is a Newton-type telescope featuring the same high-quality parabolic mirrors as the Black Diamond Explorer-130P,
but with two major advantages for astrophotographers:
By adding the Sky-Watcher Newtonian coma corrector (ref. 20233), imaging and visual performance are further enhanced,
offering sharper stars across the entire field.

In contrast to spherical mirrors, which induce aberrations at short focal lengths, the parabolic mirrors of the 130PDS correct these defects and focus all light rays onto a single point. This guarantees sharp, high-contrast images rich in detail.
With its 130 mm aperture and fast f/5 focal length, the Sky-Watcher Explorer 130PDS is ideal for capturing nebulae, star clusters and galaxies.
Lightweight and easy to carry, it's just as suited to ambitious beginners as it is to experienced amateurs looking for a second instrument dedicated to photography.
