Celestron Origin Mark II - All-in-one intelligent deep-sky observatory
Celestron Origin Mark II redefines observation and astrophotography by bringing together, in a single system,
a RASA 6″ high-speed telescopea Sony Starvis 2 color camera, a GoTo mount,
an on-board computer and a complete mobile application. The aim: to show you galaxies, nebulae and clusters
with stunning simplicity, directly on your smartphone or tablet, in a matter of seconds.
Thanks to its f/2.2 and the’real-time stacking/processing, the images obtained often appear to be
richer and more detailed than what you'd see through the eyepiece of a much larger telescope under a darker sky.
Why the Origin Mark II is different
Patented RASA optics (Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt Astrograph) sensor at the front of the tube for a system ultra-bright f/2.2 and a wide field of view, with stars sharp right to the edge.
Aperture 152 mm + 335 mm focal length an ideal combo for “wide-field” deep skies (nebulae, galaxies, large complexes).
678C new-generation color camera : sensor Sony IMX678 Starvis 2 backlit, more sensitive and more defined.
AI-powered“ automatic astrophotography” Origin stacks and processes each pose as a real time (without intervention), to gradually reveal the details.
Express start-up with StarSense the instrument scans the sky, focuses and aligns itself autonomously - you're ready to image in less than 2 minutes.
Celestron Origin Application Powered by SkySafari™ (iOS / Android): intuitive planetarium, “Tonight's Best” target selection, full control.
Multi-user sharing The live stream can be watched by several people at the same time, casts on TV and shared instantly.
Evolutionary : recovery of raw files, filter drawer 1.25″ / 2″, scheduled observations“ mode, and advanced options (wedge mode / optional autoguiding).
An accessible astrophoto (and it's not generative AI)
The on-board algorithms process your images as an experienced astrophotographer would: stacking, enhancing and optimizing them.
details from your own data. Important: the “AI” treatment mentioned by Celestron is not generative AI (no artificial additions, no invented colorizations).
You can also manually adjust parameters (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.).
Ultra-simple workflow: outside, switch on, observe
Put the Origin Mark II outside, turn it on, connect to the app.
StarSense scans the sky, aligns itself and focuses automatically.
Choose a target in the planetarium, launch poses (eg. 10 seconds), and watch the details unfold live.
Further information: filters, raw files, planning, wedge mode
Integrated filter drawer compatible 1.25″ and 2″ useful for light pollution (nebulae) or for experimentation.
RAW recovery : via USB stick (ports on tube) or download via integrated WiFi, for manual processing.
Scheduled observations : program captures during the night and retrieve your images when you wake up.
Equatorial wedge mode (with NexStar Evolution-compatible wedge + optional StarSense Autoguider) :
reduced field rotation, longer manual exposures, imaging near the zenith (darker).
Ground observation & night vision“
The Origin Mark II isn't just for the stars: you can also image terrestrial scenes during the day, and enjoy
its high-speed optics and sensitive camera to see in very poor conditions at night (“quasi night-vision” effect).
