The Omegon 2x 3-Element Short Barlow Lens increases the effective focal length of your telescope to double the nominal magnification using the same eyepiece. It allows you to expand your range of eyepieces without changing instruments, particularly for observing the Moon and the planets. Its telescope-side thread is in the 1.25 inches (31.75 mm). The version number is 33144 : The factor and diameter must be considered together when making a selection.
The three-element, apochromatic design features multi-coated lenses. Omegon specifies a short length of 42 mm to minimize the additional bulk added to the accessory chain. A compression ring holds the eyepiece in place and reduces the point-contact between the screw and the focuser.
The Barlow tube is compatible with an eyepiece or a camera equipped with a suitable adapter. It features a 1.25-inch filter thread and a protective cap. Always check the available space, especially when using a right-angle mirror, a filter, and multiple adapters together.

How do you calculate the magnification? Divide the telescope's focal length by that of the eyepiece, then apply the nominal magnification factor of this amplifier as intended for its configuration. Very high magnification can reduce apparent brightness and accentuate turbulence: choose a reasonable combination for your instrument.
Is it compatible with any camera? The insertion diameter alone is not enough to guarantee compatibility with a camera. You must also check the mount, the focal length, the field of view, and whether the camera can be focused. A camera or telescope is not included.
