DayStar Sodium D-Line Quark

Transform your F/4-F/8 refractor into a high-resolution solar observation instrument with this all-in-one H-alpha Sodium filter. The design combines filter, adapters and snout in a single compact unit.

Why the Sodium line?

High-resolution sunspot detail, granulation and super-granulation depending on seeing quality.
Observation of flare footprints (solar flames starting with the Sodium ends before the white).
Brighter line than Calcium or H-alpha: visible images with short exposure times.
D2 filter at 5890 Å with FWHM 0.5 Å or less.

Instructions for use

Insert the Quark directly into the angled guide of the F/4-F/8 refractor.
No need for additional adapters thanks to all-in-one design.
Compatible only with yellow glass ERF filters. Red glass filters do not transmit the Sodium line.
Optimized for visual observation and short-exposure solar imaging.

Assembly using Fabry Perot Etalon technology from DayStar.
