BRESSER Biolux Touch 5 MP HDMI touch microscope - all-in-one school microscope without PC
Visit BRESSER Biolux Touch 5 MP HDMI is a biological microscope designed for’school and leisure,
with a big advantage: it works without computer. The image is displayed on a 4.3” touch screen”,
and you can also duplicate to HDMI on a TV/monitor for group viewing.
Visit photos and HD videos are performed directly under the microscope on SD card (not included).
Why this model is interesting
- Stand-alone No need for a PC to observe, adjust and record.
- Convivial multilingual menu, touch-screen control, gesture zoom.
- Ideal for families / classes : output HDMI with smooth image (announced at 30 fps).
- Real biology microscope“ 4x/10x/40x lenses, lighting transmitted light + incidental.
Optics and magnification: 3 lenses + digital zoom
In terms of optics, this is a classic and effective configuration for a serious start:
3 objectives (4x, 10x, 40x), with a fine tuning for greater sharpness at high magnifications,
and a mechanical platform (cross table) to sweep the sample clean.
- Objectives 4x / 10x / 40x
- Advertised magnification : 30x to 1125x (depending on the digital/zoom chain)
- Important point very high magnifications are largely “digital”. In practice,
the best observations are generally made in 40x-400x (depending on sample preparation and focusing quality).
Transmitted light + incident light: versatility for beginners
Biolux Touch features two LED lighting modes separate and dimmable :
- Transmitted light (from below): indispensable for slides (cells, tissue, fine preparations).
- Incident light (from above): useful for non-transparent objects (leaves, sand, small insects).
Particularly suitable for 4x and, to a lesser extent, the 10x.
It's exactly what you need for “school/home” use: you can alternate between blades and everyday objects.
without complicating your life.
Touch screen and HDMI output for viewing and sharing
The touch screen 4.3 inches allows you to observe and control the built-in camera.
For courses, workshops, or just watching together, you can connect an external screen via HDMI (Type A).
- Screen 4.3” touch-sensitive LCD with zoom function
- Video output HDMI (fluid live view announced at 30 fps)
Direct SD photo/video recording
The integrated camera is based on a 5 MP. Visit microphotos and HD videos can be saved
on a SD card (not supplied, up to 32 GB). It's a big gain in simplicity: no software,
no cable to a PC, and easy archiving of findings.
- Photos : JPG
- Videos MOV (mjpeg codec)
- Storage SD ≤ 32 GB (not included)
Handling precision: cross table + fine focus
For a beginner microscope, the presence of a mechanical cross table and a fine tuning
makes a real difference: you can follow a sample at high magnification without “losing” the area observed,
and sharpness becomes easier to achieve.

To choose quickly: to whom I recommend it
- Perfect if you want a plug-and-play family/school microscope with integrated screen and HDMI.
- Very good if you're looking to save easily without PC (photos/videos on SD).
- Less suitable if your priority is PCB/workshop inspection (in this case, an inspection microscope with a long working distance is often more comfortable).
