Visit Sky Quality Meter - LE (SQM-LE) from Unihedron is a specialized device designed to measure the brightness of the night sky on a continuous, automated basis. With its Ethernet connectivity, it enables astronomers, researchers and observatories to monitor light pollution in real time.

Main Features

  • Ethernet connectivity : The SQM-LE transmits data in real time via an Ethernet connection, ideal for continuous, remote monitoring.
  • Measuring range : Measures sky brightness in magnitudes per square arcsecond (mag/arcsec²), with values ranging from 16 (very bright sky) to 23 (extremely dark sky).
  • Angular sensitivity : Angular sensitivity with a half-width at half-height (HWHM) of approx. 10°, enabling measurement of a 20° field of view (FWHM).
  • Sensor : Uses a TAOS TSL237S sensor and a HOYA CM-500 infrared-blocking filter, guaranteeing measurements in the visible spectrum only.
