Designed for the most demanding astrophotographers, ESPRIT models offer exceptional optical quality, rivalling the most prestigious high-end instruments on the market. The Esprit 70EDX perfectly embodies this philosophy in a compact, powerful and full-format compatible format.
Visit Esprit 70EDX is equipped with an apochromatic ED triplet lens incorporating a glass element. Hoya FCD100 Japanese quality. This combination guarantees outstanding color correction, with no perceptible color fringing, even on the brightest objects.
Each air-glass surface benefits from exclusive treatments MHTC (Metallic High-Transmission Coatings), 99.5 % light transmission and maximum contrast. The result: exceptionally sharp images, rich in detail and micro-contrast.
The 70EDX is full format compatible and designed to deliver a wide field of view perfectly exploitable with modern sensors. A 0.92× reducer/corrector (part no. 20332) is available as an option to further optimize photographic performance.
Although focused on imaging, it is also an excellent visual instrument thanks to its high contrast and optical finesse.
The mechanics of the 70EDX are entirely CNC machined and designed for precision and robustness. It is equipped with a Linear Power 2.8” hybrid rack-and-pinion eyepiece holder double-speed (11:1 ratio), capable of withstanding heavy loads without bending or image lag.
The main focuser is not rotatable, but a rotary adapter built into the sliding tube makes it easy to angle the camera for framing.
