Visit Sky-Watcher Evostar-150ED apochromatic bezel is an exceptional instrument designed for demanding visual and photographic astronomy enthusiasts. Thanks to its 150 mm lens and meticulous optical design, it delivers razor-sharp images, with striking contrast and virtually no chromatic aberration.
The optical heart of this eyewear is based on a doublet combining an ED (ultra-low dispersion) glass element and a carefully matched crown element. This choice of lenses ensures optimal color correction, even at high magnification. The lens surfaces are coated with exclusive multi-layer metallic coatings, called MHC - Metallic High Transmission Coatings, which provide exceptional light transmission of almost 99.5 %.
With its 1200 mm focal length and f/8 ratio, the 150ED is a highly versatile telescope. It shines on the Moon, planets and double stars, but also on the deep sky with a 0.85x focal reducer (sold separately), ideal for widening the field and speeding up exposure times in photography.
The mechanical finish is also on a par with the competition. Crayford 2” 11:1 ratio eyepiece holder ensures fine, backlash-free focusing, and the whole package comes in a sturdy aluminum case, with machined collars and 45 mm dovetail bar. The instrument is supplied without eyepiece, finder or angled return, so you can choose the configuration to suit your needs.
