The Voyager MAK80-FAST is based on an optical design Maksutov-Cassegrain, with excellent contrast and image sharpness. With a 80 mm diameter and a 850 mm focal length (f/10.6), It is particularly well-suited to the detailed observation of the Moonand planets and bright celestial objects.
Its optical system features multilayer improving light transmission and image quality. The Maksutov design, invented by Russian optician Dmitri Maksutov, is renowned for its compactness and optical precision.
The eyepieces supplied offer magnifications of x42.5 and x68, with a wide apparent field of 70°, for comfortable, immersive viewing. Maximum recommended magnification is x160.
One of the major innovations of this model is its focusing system. FAST with friction drive (patent pending). In contrast to conventional thumbwheel systems, this mechanism uses a dual focus button to move the primary mirror quickly and precisely.
A focus position indicator The integrated focuser facilitates adjustment according to viewing distance (8 m, 17 m and infinity), making focusing quicker and more intuitive, whether for astronomy or terrestrial observation.
The Voyager MAK80-FAST is designed for versatile use. Thanks to its 90° right-angle return bend with phase processing, it offers a straight image, ideal for terrestrial observation.

Weighing in at around 1.5 kg and compact design, this telescope is extremely easy to transport. It can be mounted on a standard photo tripod thanks to its 1/4″ thread, or on an astronomical mount via its Vixen/Sky-Watcher type dovetail.
