The Quark Combo brings the simplicity and security of H-alpha solar observation to owners of SCT, Maksutov and long refractors (F/15-F/30). Choose your version Prominence or Chromosphere for the same price, and benefit from an all-in-one filter that's ready to use, lightweight and compact.

The Quark Combo is an H-alpha "All-In-One" device that integrates :

Prominence or Chromosphere H-alpha filter (choice)
Integrated adapters for direct insertion into your telescope
Compact, lightweight design eliminates the need for additional adapters
AR surface treatments optimized for 656 nm and internal baffles for enhanced contrast
Low power consumption: can run all day with optional battery pack

Important: for SCT and Maksutov, the use of a specific energy rejection filter (ERF) is mandatory for safety and optimum performance.

Prominence versus Chromosphere

Important instructions for SCT / Maksutov

SCT: use an off-axis front-mount ERF with aperture reduction to protect the secondary mirror.
Maksutov: ERF front-mount mandatory to avoid overheating the optical tube.
F/15-F/30 refractors: insert the Quark Combo directly into the RC, no additional adjustment required.
