Thanks to its unobstructed 50 mm aperture, internal Pressure-Tuned Doppler True standard and 0.6 Å bandwidth, the LS50THa Enhanced accurately reveals the dynamic details of the solar chromosphere. Its new CNC rack-and-pinion eyepiece holder and three dedicated eyepieces offer a much more advanced and comfortable observing experience.

Pressure-Tuned Doppler True technology

One of the most popular features of the LS50THa range is the adjustable-pressure internal standard system. In contrast to a tilt adjustment system, the Doppler True Pressure Tuning acts uniformly on the entire standard to precisely modify the position in the H-Alpha line.

This setting allows :

• Increase the brightness of protuberances
• Enhance the contrast of surface details
• Explore different depths of the chromosphere
• observe evolving solar structures in real time

The user no longer simply observes the Sun, but actually explores its dynamic structure.

Three eyepieces for every situation

The LS50THa Enhanced Kit includes three Flat-Field eyepieces optimized for solar observation:

• 8 mm - 44x : ideal for active areas and fine details of protuberances
• 12 mm - 29x : versatile magnification for general observation
• 16 mm - 22x : perfect for full-disc views and protrusion surveys

All eyepieces feature :

• 60° apparent field of view
• 0.1 % anti-reflective coating
• 1.25″ format

High-precision CNC Rack & Pinion eyepiece holder

The helical eyepiece holder of the standard model is replaced here by a rack-and-pinion system (Rack & Pinion) made of CNC aluminum and brass.

The addition of this filter reduces the combined bandwidth to around 0.30 Å, greatly enhancing the contrast of surface structures and chromospheric details.
