Newton Askar 150mm HNT-AL f/2.8 astrograph

Designed for high-resolution imaging, the 15028HNT-AL concentrates a 150 mm hyperbolic primary mirror and a triplet corrector integrated into a compact aluminum tube. At f/2.8, it captures as many photons in half the time than an f/4 tube - enough to multiply wide-field projects with complete peace of mind.

Ultra-fast & full-format optics

• Hyperbolic primary mirror in PZ33 (Pyrex-like) Ø150 mm, reflectivity ≈ 97 % (multi-layer dielectric coating).
• Focal length 420 mm (f/2.8)a field wide angle of 6°, easily illuminating an image circle of 44 mm (full format).
• Corrector triplet air-spaced (including 1 ED lens) housed in the eyepiece holder: fine stars and coma eliminated right down to the corners.
• Secondary Ø70 mm (minor axis) for even illumination on 24×36 sensors.

Robust & precise mechanics

• Tube and CNC parts in all-aluminumreinforced rings with oversized butterfly screws.
• Lens holder rack-&-pinion 2″ dual-speed (20 mm stroke) + (20 mm stroke) + (20 mm stroke) + (20 mm stroke) 360° rotator integrated, 3 kg capacity.
• Easy collimation : 3×3 primary adjusting screws + one-piece CNC secondary spider for sharp egrets.
