Visit Pocket Powerbox Micro (PPB Micro) from Pegasus Astro is a compact, versatile power supply solution designed for astrophotographers on the move. With its compact size and advanced features, it offers efficient, centralized power management for your astrophotography equipment.

Concentrated power in miniature format

Measuring just 66 mm x 66 mm x 24 mm and weighing just 115 g, the PPB Micro is ideal for lightweight, portable configurations. Despite its small size, it can deliver up to 10 A of total current, making it perfectly suited to modern, even power-hungry, equipment.

Advanced power management

  • 4 12 V DC outputs : Each output can be switched on or off via the dedicated software. They are surge-protected and provide a stable power supply for your cameras, mounts or other accessories.
  • Adjustable output : A special socket allows you to set the voltage to 3V, 5V, 8V, 9V or 12V, with a maximum current of 3 A. Ideal for powering devices such as DSLR/mirrorless or Raspberry Pi.
  • Integrated protection : The PPB Micro includes reverse polarity protection and continuously monitors the input voltage (5-15 V) with a built-in voltmeter.

Checking heating resistors

  • Two RCA outputs dedicated to heating resistors or flatboxes.
  • Maximum power 5 A per channel, controllable via software.
  • AutoDew" function: Automatically adjusts resistor power according to environmental sensor data (humidity and temperature), preventing condensation on your optics.

Stand-alone or connected operation

The PPB Micro can operate in stand-alone mode. Once configured, it memorizes your settings (such as AutoDew mode) and applies them automatically at each start-up. If required, it can also be controlled via a PC using the Pegasus Unity PlatformASCOM and INDI compatible.

Environmental sensor included

The supplied external sensor measures :

  • Relative humidity : 0-100 % with an accuracy of ±2 to ±5 %.
  • Ambient temperature : -40 °C to +80 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C.

This data is used to optimize the use of heating elements and avoid any problems related to humidity.

Extended connectivity

  • USB2 Type B port for communication with a PC.
  • RJ12 port to connect Pegasus Astro accessories (such as an external focus motor).
  • Standard DC socket (2.1 mm positive center) for power input.
