Visit Sky-Watcher Evostar 150EDX is the largest and most powerful model in the Evostar ED series. With an aperture of 150 mm and a focal length of 1200 mm (f/8), this apochromatic doublet refractor is designed to deliver exceptional image quality for both visual and photographic applications. It features reinforced mechanics, a 3-inch CNC eyepiece holder and ultra-high-performance optical coatings.

Like its smaller siblings, the Evostar 150EDX uses a Japanese glass FPL-53 ED coating, virtually eliminating chromatic aberration. Every optical surface is treated with MHTC (Metallic High Transmission Coating)The result is an impressive light transmission of 99.5 %. This guarantees sharp stars, high-contrast images and a deep black sky background - qualities sought-after in both observation and imaging.
The great novelty on this model is the 3" CNC rack-and-pinion eyepiece holder with micro-reduction 11:1 and 360° rotating adapter, offering optimum support for heavy cameras. The sliding mist guardthe sturdy anodized aluminum clamps with integrated central handle (which also serves as a turntable), as well as a 75 mm dovetail make this instrument robust, stable and ready for demanding conditions.
Weighing in at 15 kg, this refractor requires a sturdy frame, but offers far superior light-gathering power than most ED scopes on the market. The Evostar 150EDX is compatible with a reducer/corrector 0.77x (ref. 20333, optional) to optimize the field of view for astrophotography and accelerate the focal ratio.
