Visit Sky-Watcher Heritage-150P Virtuoso GTi is an innovative telescope that combines optical power, portability and modern technology. Designed to be controlled entirely wirelessly via smartphone or tablet, it represents an ideal solution for amateur astronomers who want a high-performance, intuitive and easy-to-carry instrument.
Thanks to its frame Virtuoso GTi Go-To with integrated Wi-Fi, This telescope creates its own wireless network, enabling it to be used in complete autonomy, without relying on an external network. Users can control the instrument via the free SynScan (iOS and Android). After a simple alignment procedure, access to a database of over 10,000 celestial objects lets you explore the sky in just a few clicks, thanks to an intuitive touchscreen interface.
The Go-To system enables the telescope to move automatically to selected objects. It is capable of pointing at thousands of targets from the Messier, NGC, IC and Caldwell catalogs, as well as stars, deep-sky objects and solar system planets. Advanced features include “Tonight's Best”, celestial object identification, assisted pointing and remote control.
This model also features patented Freedom-Find™ Dual-Encoder, This allows the telescope to be moved manually without losing alignment or position. This offers total freedom of use and enhanced comfort during observation sessions.
Optically, the Heritage-150P features a 150 mm parabolic primary mirror with Radiant™ Aluminum Quartz (RAQ™) treatment, offering up to 94 % of reflectivity. Its 750 mm focal length (f/5) makes it an excellent all-round telescope, capable of providing detailed images of the Moon and planets, while also performing well for observing deep-sky objects such as nebulae and galaxies.
The system FlexTube™ The retractable tube considerably reduces its size, making it easy to transport and store. This ingenious design makes the Heritage-150P an ideal companion for observations on the move.
The telescope comes with two eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) offering 30x and 75x magnifications, plus a red dot finder for quick object spotting. It is designed for tabletop use, but also features a standard 3/8″ thread allowing it to be attached to an optional tripod for greater flexibility. The stainless steel Sky-Watcher AZ5 tripod is particularly recommended.
The mount offers precise tracking thanks to its DC Servo motors, and features several travel speeds and tracking modes (sidereal, lunar, solar). It is compatible with astronomy software via the ASCOM platform, and can be used with applications such as SkySafari, Stellarium or Luminos.
With a total weight of 9 kg, this telescope is easy to transport, yet offers high performance. It can be powered by AA batteries or an external 12V source, such as a Power Tank, for extended use in the field.
