Visit Skywatcher Startravel 102 AZ-GTe GoTo is the ideal solution for both novice and amateur astronomers looking for a high-performance, portable and easy-to-use instrument. Thanks to its motorized mount, which can be controlled via smartphone, this telescope makes it easy to explore the sky, without the need for advanced technical knowledge.
Designed to offer an intuitive experience, this model combines a bright achromatic optical tube with an intelligent alt-azimuth mount featuring an integrated WiFi module. It's an excellent choice for observing deep sky and bright solar system objects.
The frame AZ-GTe is fully wirelessly controllable via the free SynScan, available on iOS and Android. Once connected, the mount creates its own WiFi network, allowing you to use it anywhere without an Internet connection.
After a simple alignment procedure, you can access a database of more than 10,000 celestial objects. The GoTo function then automatically points the telescope at the chosen object, be it a planet, nebula or star cluster.
This automation makes observation accessible and enjoyable, even for novice users.
The optical tube Startravel 102 is an achromatic refractor with two air-separated lenses. With a diameter of 102 mm and a short focal ratio of f/4.9, it offers a wide field of view particularly suited to observation:
It can also be used to observe the Moon, planets and certain bright galaxies. For solar observation, a suitable filter is essential for safe use.
The frame AZ-GTe is supported by a sturdy, lightweight aluminum tripod and a practical accessory tray. The whole unit is easily transportable, making it an ideal companion for observations on the move or impromptu astronomy evenings.
Please note: unlike the AZ-GTi version, the AZ-GTe mount does not feature Freedom-Find™ dual-axis encoders, meaning that manual movements are not tracked by the GoTo system.
