Uranus Meteo Sensor by Pegasus Astro: The Ideal Weather Sensor for Astronomers and Astrophotographers

Visit Uranus Meteo Sensor from Pegasus Astro is a compact, versatile weather sensor designed to meet the needs of amateur astronomers and astrophotographers. This device measures a wide range of environmental and meteorological parameters, guaranteeing optimal conditions for your observation sessions. Discover its technical specifications and main features.

Environmental Sensors

  • Temperature : Measuring range from -40 to +85 °C with a precision of ±0,5 °C.
  • Relative humidity : Beach 0 % to 100 %with an accuracy of ±3 %.
  • Atmospheric pressure : Measurement of absolute and relative pressure at sea level.
  • Clouds : Detection of cloud cover (%) via an infrared sensor with a 60° detection angle and measurement of cloud height.
  • Night sky brightness : Measurement in magnitudes per square arc second (MPSAS), Bortle scale and lux, to detect light pollution or variations in sky quality between different sites.

Integrated GPS

The Uranus sensor is equipped with a Integrated GPSwhich provides precise data on :

  • Latitude and longitude.
  • Altitude (barometric and GPS).
  • Astronomical and twilight time.
  • Compatible with mounts such as 10Micron models via NMEA port.

Main features

  • Data collection and storage : The internal memory records all environmental measurements with GPS coordinates. Data can be exported for further analysis.
  • Digital display : A built-in red display shows data in real time, and menu navigation is facilitated by two buttons on the top of the unit.
  • Software compatibility : Full ASCOM 6 support for integration with imaging software such as N.I.N.A. or SGPro. The Unity platform enables data to be monitored and exported in the form of zoomable graphs.

Robust design

The sensor is manufactured with a blue anodized aluminum for increased durability. With a compact size equivalent to that of a pack of cigarettes, it's easy to transport and install on a telescope or in other viewing configurations.

Autonomy and recharging

Visit Uranus Meteo Sensor features a rechargeable battery USB-Cwith extended autonomy, ideal for field sessions, especially during long or nocturnal observations.

Practical Applications

  • Planning of observation sessions according to local weather conditions.
  • Optimizing astrophotographic images with precise meteorological measurements.
  • Protection of automated observation equipment (such as telescopic shelters) in adverse weather conditions (rain or heavy cloud cover).

Summary

Visit Uranus Meteo Sensor is an indispensable tool for any amateur or professional astronomer seeking to maximize his or her observations in optimum conditions. Thanks to its advanced sensors, integrated GPS, and data collection and storage functions, this sensor is the ideal solution for monitoring weather conditions in real time and optimizing sky observation.
