BRESSER Messier MC-127/1900 OTA – Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Tube Assembly

Visit BRESSER Messier MC-127/1900 is a compact Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope that offers a
1,900 mm long focal length and images that are exceptionally sharp and high-contrast. It is an excellent choice for
detailed observation of the Moon, the planets, globular clusters, and small planetary nebulae.

Despite its performance, the tube remains compact and easy to transport. It can be mounted on a variety of mounts
astronomical mounts compatible with type Vixen/GP, EQ5, or LXD75.

This version comes with a complete set of accessories to help you get started with your observations right away, including a
26-mm SuperPlössl eyepiece, an angled extension tube, an LED viewfinder, and a solar filter designed to fit the telescope's aperture.

Important for solar observation:
Use only the supplied solar filter, properly installed at the front of the telescope.
Never look directly at the Sun without a proper solar filter that is securely attached.

Ideal optics for observing the Moon and the planets

The Maksutov-Cassegrain design combines a front-mounted corrector lens with a mirror system. This architecture allows
to achieve a long focal length in a short tube, while maintaining excellent contrast.

With its diameter of 127 mm and its focal ratio of f/15, the Messier MC-127 is particularly well-suited
on compact, luminous objects:

  • landforms, craters, and lunar features; ;
  • Jupiter's cloud bands and Galilean moons; ;
  • Saturn's rings; ;
  • phases of Venus; ;
  • details visible on Mars when conditions are favorable; ;
  • double stars; ;
  • globular clusters; ;
  • small planetary nebulae; ;
  • sunspots using the included solar filter.

For terrestrial observation and planetary astrophotography

The telescope can also be used for long-distance terrestrial observation. Its long focal length makes it particularly well-suited for
lunar, solar, and planetary photography using a suitable astronomical camera.

For long-exposure deep-sky photography, you will need a properly sized, motorized equatorial mount.
However, the long focal length and f/15 aperture ratio mean that this telescope is primarily intended for visual observation and for
imaging of luminous objects.
